Peripheral neuropathy treatment

Peripheral Neuropathy is a condition where blood supply to nerves in the hands or feet is impaired causing the nerve to malfunction and eventually die out. The result is burning pain, pins and needles sensation, aching or numbness. Initially, it starts out subtly then worsens over time. However, sometimes it comes on quickly leading to disability. Worst of all, drugs commonly used for neuropathy are ineffective and have dangerous side effects.

Symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy (PN)

  • Pain described as burning, aching or sharp pains in the fingers or toes that can then ascend up the arms and legs
  • Tingling, prickling sensations in the extremities
  • Numbness, meaning loss of sensation of fingers or toes
  • Difficulty walking, loss of balance because can’t feel feet when walking

What Causes Neuropathy?

  • Diabetes is the most common cause of peripheral neuropathy, but other conditions can cause it
  • After chemotherapy for cancer; the drugs used for cancer treatment are toxic to nerves. The Cancer Treatment Centers of America utilize one of the therapies, Dr. Marks uses in his program to help PN sufferers after chemo.
  • Exposure to toxic chemicals (toxic neuropathy)(Agent Orange)
  • Auto-immune diseases
  • Hereditary disorders
  • Inflammatory infections
  • Protein abnormalities
  • Poor nutrition (lack of B vitamins)
  • Kidney failure
  • Chronic alcoholism

New Advances in Neuropathy Treatment

Rather than masking pain or trying to interfere with the signal of nerve pain to the brain, newer treatments have documented success in actually fixing the underlying cause. The two main goals of peripheral neuropathy treatment are to:

  1. Firstly, Restore Blood Flow
  2. Secondly, Repair the Damaged Nerves

Specifically, the treatments are a combination of proven therapies to improve blood flow and nerve function. In short, the treatments attack the problems physically, electrically, and chemically using light therapy.

As well these treatments are natural, safe, effective and have practically no side-effects. Best of all, these treatments work!
