How Much Do Orange County Chiropractors Charge?
Chiropractor fees vary by location and services provided in Orange County.
A Simple Adjustment Can Range from $30 to $100.
Why It’s Not the Best Idea to Seek the Cheapest Chiropractic Visit You Can.
When you buy groceries do you buy the absolute cheapest food you can? Or do you find the nutritious food you like that fits your budget? When you bought your car did you consciously look for the absolute cheapest car available in your neighborhood?
Obviously, you are looking for quality and value. And that’s why calling up all the chiropractors in Orange County and asking “how much is an adjustment?”
To Illustrate
If you found the cheapest adjustment and it was a terrible experience, there is no value in that. Clearly, there is usually a reason for low cost. Namely, low quality or low confidence in their product or service.
Similarly, you must ask what is included in the low price? Is it strictly an adjustment? Or does it include other adjunctive therapies. Specifically, therapies such as heat, electrical stimulation, cold laser, stretching, etc often make a visit more pleasant and relieves pain more quickly.
What if the cheapest chiropractor took 12 visits to resolve your issue, but a doctor who was marginally more per visit only took 3 or 4 visits? Again, there is no value in paying a cheap fee more times than paying for quality fewer times.
What Are Actual Fees for Chiropractors in Orange County?
Chiropractic treatment fees range from $30 per visit to over $200. An average visit that involves talking with the doctor and getting a full spine adjustment is commonly $50-70 per session. Reasonably, a visit that entails more time like a new visit is often more. X-rays are also additional if needed. And some offices charge more for therapies discussed early. Surprisingly, many offices do not provide therapies at all.
What is the Difference in Chiropractic Services?
Here comes a philosophical question. There are chiropractors out there that do not “diagnose” a problem or condition. They simply feel your spine and provide adjustments to correct misalignments. They are not attempting to relieve pain or fix a problem. These chiropractors are only interested in removing interference from your spine to allow the body to do what it is supposed to do naturally. This approach is closest to the founding of chiropractic and has it’s place. But if you have an injury like whiplash or a sprained knee ligament this approach falls short.
These doctors will charge the least per visit and will usually propose a long, 12 month or more, program of adjustments. You will be treated in the open with other patients and doctors in view in a large adjusting room with multiple tables.
By contrast, there are other types of chiropractors who do diagnose musculoskeletal or visceral problems and provide treatments and therapies to resolve a specific health condition. Once a problem has been resolved in the short term, a patient is advised to seek periodic adjustments to maintain their spine. Some doctors dismiss the patient after short term care and it is up to the patient to return when they feel they need it.
Expectedly, these treatments may cost more per visit, but are less often and in total often less visits. Mostly, these doctors function more similarly to traditional medical doctors in that your sessions are private and not in front of other people.
